These are the latest new products in our product portfolio:

ATOMLAB 500

The Atomlab 500 provides fast, accurate radionuclide activity measurements with performance that easily complies with the most stringent regulatory requirements. The system consists of a new low pressure ionization chamber with redesigned seal, electrometer with extraordinary linearity and an auto-ranging touch screen color display. Now one dose calibrator can be used for a wide variety of Nuclear Medicine, PET and radioimmunotherapy applications. Additionally, there are advanced, but easy-to-use programs for nuclear pharmacy, radiochemistry and radiochromatography.

Activity measurements are performed by the microprocessor controlled electrometer located within the chamber assembly. The chamber is shielded with .25" (6.3 mm) lead. It can be located up to eight feet away from the display unit. Chamber bias is generated by an electronic high voltage supply, eliminating the need for expensive battery changes.

Every element of the design and technical development will increase dose accuracy, department productivity and regulation compliance. The attractive and intuitive human interface guides the user through each operation. Software can easily be updated via the Biodex website or by using a convenient memory card. The touch-screen display can rest on a bench or mount on the wall of a hot lab, hot cell or laminar flow hood.

In addition to powerful self diagnostics, the Atomlab 500 includes an exclusive chamber monitoring technology to assure longer life and accuracy. Integrated pressure and temperature sensors feedback data so that the influence of gas pressure change will not effect an accurate reading

ATOMLAB 400

The Atomlab™ 400 provides fast, accurate radionuclide activity measurements with performance that easily complies with the most stringent regulatory requirements.

The unit is simple to operate. There is a routine list of ten pre- programmed isotopes plus another seven buttons that can be user selected. Four isotopes will be displayed at a time. In addition, there is a library containing 88 isotopes listed alphabetically, including Y-90 and Sr-89. Activity is displayed on a LCD panel in either curie or becquerel units. Background correction is performed at the touch of a button. Range selection is automatic.

Rubidium Generator

We now have a Rubidium generator from Bracco which goes under the name of CardioGen-82®. CardioGen -82®, rubidium-82 (82Rb), radionuclide generator contains accelerator produced strontium-82 (82Sr) adsorbed on stannic oxide in a lead-shielded column and provides a means for obtaining a sterile non-pyrogenic solution for injection of rubidium chloride. The chemical form is 82RbCl. Strontium-82 decays to Rubidium-82 with a half life of 25.5 days.

82Rb has properties similar to Thallium-201 (Tl-201).  82Rb acts as a potassium analog, allowing for a high extraction fraction at high flow rates.

Since the physical half-life for 82Rb is 75 seconds it allows for an efficient protocol.  By the time the imaging is completed for the rest portion (approximately 7 minutes), stress can follow immediately and then the stress images can be acquired (approximately 7 minutes). The study can be completed in approximately 35-45 minutes depending on for example which type of camera is being used. Defects are visualized within 2 – 7 minutes after injection. The generator can provide a new dose of Rubidium within 10 minutes.

A new 100 mCi generator arrives every 28 days.

Fixed pricing allows many patients to be performed in a day without the hassle of ordering unit doses.

The CardioGen-82® fits inside the infusion cart. The infusion system, on which QC is performed daily, ensures accurate dosing with minimal operator interface. This also minimizes the radiation exposure.

Rubidium Generator

CardioGen-82® is an investment but I can minimize the impact on the budget thanks to the possible reduction of Technetium generators as well as a less need for acquiring imaging agents like Myoview® or Cardiolite®.

Furthermore, Myocardial Perfusion SPECT is time consuming and it makes the gamma camera busy, so with CardioGen-82® you liberate time for other studies on the gamma camera while you optimize the investment which has been done for the PET/CT since most PET cameras are only used at 60-70% of their capacity. Thanks to CardioGen-82® you can study one patient, stress and rest, a lot faster which also saves time for the cardiologist and other needed personnel.

SAM Nordic offers two different generators. The first is the IGG100 68Ge/68Ga Generator that is manufactured by Eckert & Ziegler in the United States. The second is manufactured in Russia and is called Obninsk 68Ge/68Ga Generator.

Injection/Resting chair

  • 214-210 Injection/Resting chair is designed especially for PET. The Injection/Resting Chair is a comfortable resting spot for patients to wait between injection and imaging. The chair achieves three recline positions and features an infinitely adjustable back.

Modular-Lab

    Eckert & Ziegler EUROTOPE GmbH presents Modular-Lab, a fully automated synthesis device for the production of radiopharmaceuticals like for example:

    • Ga 68-DOTA-Conjugated Peptides
    • F18-FEC
    • F18-FDG
    • C-11 labelled compounds etc

    The modular system configuration can be used for standard synthesis protocols as well as for R & D of new radiopharmaceuticals.
    As a consequence of its modular setup, the system is not limited to a single isotope like other technologies.
    Moreover, due to the remote control operation in combination with an integrated control system, no user interference is necessary to minimize radiation exposure. All components are easy accessible and can be exchanged or extended later on for a different application.
    Using electrical temperature control instead of simple nitrogen cooling, the complete method can be run under exact temperature conditions.
